As a Property Inventory Specialist, you’re part of a team that’s passionate about helping our loyal business customers succeed. You lay down the foundations of great relationships between tenants and landlords by conducting property inventory assessments where you report on the decoration, functional and cleaning orders of a property and prove your importance by escalating concerns, offer reassurance and confirm the condition of a property.

Description

Perform property inventory reports (check ins, check outs or midterm inspections) by employing great attention to detail to spot and report defects or discrepancies in a property, review the working order of appliances, collecting meter readings and basic testing the functional items of a property. Using your proactive mindset and our training, you know how to make the best use of our bespoke software and app solutions to fulfill your inspections.​​

Escalate noticeable maintenance and cleanliness concerns to allow for reactive decision-making and improved property and tenancy turn-around.

Serve as a trustworthy point of contact for our team and our customers to help process any enquiry promptly and accurately.

Contribute to healthy professional relationships within the team, and at our clients' offices and showing an appetite for success.

Delivering property inspections at our site location in Leatherhead (KT22) and have access to a car or be comfortable traveling via public transport.​​

Minimum qualifications

You should:

  • Be available to work on a self-employed flexible schedule based on business needs that may include most saturdays in a month, beginning and end of each month where demand and job numbers are higher and public holidays at our client site locations, and reliably attend work as scheduled with the flexibility of choosing your own working hours each day, in line with local laws and subject to any approved accommodations. 

  • Be available to commit to a minimum of 3 days a week.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and accurate descriptions.

  • Know your way around a smartphone or tablet and love using digital tools to simplify tasks.

  • Have an observer mindset that understands nuances between the various parties involved at work.

  • Have a minimum level of endurance for the role, the majority of this role is largely lone standing.

  • Be confident with working independently with always-on support and mentoring.

  • Be able to provide a copy of a basic Disclosure & Barring Service DBS check completed in the last two months

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working within property inventories and/or surveying environments.

  • Experience within real estate industry is a plus.

  • Experience using InventoryBase inventory solutions (training will be provided).

  • Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, including the ability to quickly establish. trust and work effectively with both internal client partners and external parties.

  • Excellent organisational skills, and proven ability to set priorities, stay disciplined, and manage a busy diary.

  • Learn, navigate and use new tools and systems.

  • Experience working to pre-defined deadlines.

Training and tech

  • Extensive property inventory training (2-4 weeks paid training)

  • Personal mentoring and always-on support to make sure you are in the best conditions to complete your work

  • Company work iPhone

  • Utility keys and tools as required

Job rate

  • Pay rates are dependent on experience and start from £30 per property inspection completed.

  • Payments are done on a completed inspection basis, where more jobs completed per day offers the potential to increase your income through competitive economies of scales dependant on time of year.

  • This role is offered on a self-employed basis, where you are responsible for your own expenses and tax returns (we offer comprehensive guidance to help you manage your tax returns and expenses)

  • Performance bonus available for high achievers.

  • Monthly payments terms are in place.
